ANNA FAYE SMITH

ALTON — Anna Faye (Stockard) Smith was born May 11, 1951, in Alton, Illinois, and departed this life on Dec. 7, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was affectionately called Faye by all who loved her. Faye grew up in Alton and received education through the Alton Public School system. Faye was a homemaker first, and later worked at Beverly Farm where she retired after 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Stockard, and her former spouse, Ernest (Tick) L. Smith, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Kathy (Mark) Smith of St. Louis, DeAnne (Derrick) Smith of Brooklyn, Illinois, Ernest (Kimberly) Smith, Jr. of Godfrey, Illinois, Regina (Benjamin) Smith, Gail Smith, and Eyonn (Carol) Smith, all of Alton, Illinois; one step-daughter, Brandi (Willie) Jenkins of Alton, one sister, Arnella Lewis of Buffalo, New York, and one sister-in-law, Diana (Lee) Gilliam of Alton; eleven grandchildren, Christopher (Jamicka) Burries, Sr., BreAnna (Jaramya) Kaiser, Ernest Smith, III, Tatiana Smith, Taylor Smith, Mark Jackson, Jr., Rahshida Barnes, Tanner Brooks, Maurtez Jackson, Malik Smith, Makeal Smith, and a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation Saturday, Dec. 16, 2107, from 9 until time of service at 10 a.m. at Abundant Life Church with Pastor Roy Rhodes, eulogist.

Burial at Upper Alton Cemetery.

Cathy M. Williams & Sons Funeral home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
