"BRIGHTON - Victoria Diane Pace, 32, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday [August 16, 1985] at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis after an extended illness.
"She worked at Germania Savings & Loan in Alton for seven years and at the Venture Store for two years.
"Born in Alton, she is the daughter of Edwin Mintert of Altamont and Alberta (Williams) Heitzman of Alton.
"She was married to Rodger Pace on June 30, 1973, in Alton.
"In addition to her parents and husband, surviving are one son, Corey at home; her maternal grandmother, Hildegard Mintert of West Alton, Mo.; a brother, Dennis Mintert of Brighton; a half brother, Tracey Mintert of Effingham; a stepbrother, Danny Dawson of Cahokia; and two half sisters, Glenda Wilson of Tucamcari, N.M. and Mary Ann Collins of Effingham.
"Visitation will be at Smith Funeral Home in Alton from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
"The funeral services will be conducted at Alton First Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Howard Todd Taylor officiating.
"Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park.
"Memorials are to the church, where she was a member, or the American Cancer Society."
