MONICA HUBER

ALTON — Monica Lynn Huber, 65, died at 8:41 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at her home in Alton.

Born April 19, 1952, in Alton, she was the daughter of Eva (Flunker) Huber of Godfrey and the late Frank J. Huber Jr.

Monica was a graduate of Lewis and Clark Community College Nursing School and retired as a registered nurse in the E.R. at Alton Memorial Hospital after 44 years of service. She was an awesome nurse, great lover of horses, and the St. Louis Cardinals. QVC and Fed Ex owe much of their growth to Monica.

Along with her mother, she is survived by a sister, Yvonne (William Robert) Harlow of Indianapolis, Indiana, two brothers, Phillip Huber of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and Kirk (Lisa) Huber of Brighton. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Kathleen Huber Riney of Godfrey and Andrew Huber of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her father, a sister-in-law, Bea, and a nephew, Jeffrey.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
