Obituary

Peggy Firebaugh, 69, of Ellsinore, MO, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born in Carrollton, IL, October 26, 1952, to parents Roy Clinton and Alice Virginia (Langhorst) Ray.

Peggy was a loving friend and had a strong compassion for others. After graduating Alton Senior High School, she earned her Masters of Psychology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Psychology at University of California, Riverside, and Special Education/Speech Pathology at Ouachita Baptist University. She was formerly a Community Support Caseworker at Ozark Center, and Deputy Public Administrator at Jasper County. She was owner of Peggy Firebaugh, Social Services Specialist until retirement.

Peggy enjoyed shopping, camping, eating out with friends, and baking for her family, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed being pampered when she went to the nail salon, and riding around with her special friend, Richard Fann, in his corvette.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Firebaugh; children: Justin and Heidi Woodbury.

Peggy is survived by her very special friend: Richard Fann and his family, which Peggy thought of as her own, which includes children: Donald Fann and wife Susan of Ellsinore, Teresa Cross and significant other Jimi Hamm of Black, Josh Fann and wife Alissa of Ellsinore, Elizabeth Meyers and husband James of Ellsinore; grandchildren: Molly Morgan and husband Gary of OK, Ryan Fann and wife Lindsey of IA, Allison Young and husband Chris, Carisa Cross and fiancé Brad Baker, Taylor Fann and significant other Keith Eudaley, Tylar Weaver and husband Jordan, Lindsey Fann and significant other Isiah, Westen Fann, Patricia Fann, Jacobi Meyers, Sawyer Meyers, Briella Fann, Lili Fann all of MO; great-grandchildren: Matty, Aiden, Peyton, Maya, Emmitt, Caselyn, Jameson, Vanessa, Maggie, Knox; best friend: Bunny Robertson; and two special companions: her cats  Ebony and Loki. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Beulah Cemetery, Brunot, MO. Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following, also at Beulah Cemetery, Brunot, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
