DAVID WESTBROOK

BRIDGETON, MISSOURI — David W. Westbrook, 63, died at 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his home.

Born August 31, 1952, in Alton, he was the son of August Westbrook of Brighton and the late Barbara Joan (Huffstutler) Westbrook.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an avid motorcycle rider in his younger days and enjoyed spending time with his dog Raskle. David was a Christian and a member of Harvester Baptist Church. Although his health had declined over the last six to eight years, he was still active in doing computer work.

Along with his father he is survived by two sons, Aaron Westbrook (Dena) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Brock Westbrook (Chrystal) of Cleveland, Ohio, and a brother Todd Westbrook (Kelly) of Decatur, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister Rebecca Ribbing, grandparents, Woodrow and Mary Wilson and Floyd and Neva Huffstutler, and three aunts and one uncle.

Visitation will be from 1 until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Dr. Jim Grant will officiate.
