Happy birthday Chris State happy and satisfied with life
Jim and my friendship goes back to Junior high. We played on the football team together. Spent summers riding our bikes, once going to Grafton. We'd go to his step father and mother's cabin on the Illinois river in summer and winter. Jimmy was a great friend. I hadn't seen him in probably 30 years until 2 years ago when I was back visiting Alton. His cousin called and told him I was in Alton and Jim came to visit me at the motel. We spent 4 hours catching up and reminiscing about a days as young men. RIP Jim. I will think of you often.

Chris I so remember you from high school, from aborted attempt to remain a football player to being in classes with you. You were always someone with a good outlook on life and it makes sense that a Navy Corpsman assigned to Fleet Marine would become an RN since you did alot of nursing keeping a Marine Combat Platoon healthy. I am so glad that you are like me in admiring Mr Bruno so much. Along with Mr Wools he was easily my best teacher at AHS. I was a clinical social worker with the VA for 44 years after coming off active duty and I would often mention Mr Bruno to my guys in group therapy because he taught me so much and was such a role model for how to live my life. m IU have a small private psychotherapy practice post retirement and I continue to use skills Mr Bruno taught me to this very day. Glen and I were good friends in high school. We'd hang out in front of the main building in the spring and fall. We'd hang inside in the winter.
