Steven Rhoades

Steven Rhoades passed away peacefully at 12:12 PM on 14 July 2019, and went
to be with the Lord at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his
sister Cindy Eaker, mom Lillian Flure, step-dad Earl Flure, and dad Ed
Rhoades, all of Alton, IL He is survived by his loving wife (of 34 years),
Jong Ae Rhoades Lovingly remembered by: daughter Cathy and her husband Ben
Hines, and their two children Everett and Jaeann of Fort Lee, VA. And, son
and his wife Steven and Heather Edwards and their three children Addison,
Lauren, and Gabe of West Lafayette, IN, and brother Bill Rhoades of Florida.
Steven joined the United States Army at 18 years old, serving most of his
service in the Republic of Korea, with a 2 year period in Germany. Steve's
awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (2), Army
Achievement Medal (2), the Army Good Conduct Medal (5), and the National
Defense Service Medal. Steve retired in the summer of 1990 in the Republic
of South Korea where he remained until his death.
