Keven Reed, 58, of Lander, Wyoming passed away on
September 25, 2011 after a prolonged battle with an illness.
Keven was born to Ivan and Virginia Reed in Alton, Illinois
on October 20, 1952. After growing up in Alton, Keven went to
school at Southeast Missouri State. There, he met and married
Patricia Cole in August 1975. Soon after, they moved to
Jeffrey City, Wyoming to begin their life together teaching
for the school district. They taught and lived in Jeffrey
City until 1990 when they moved to Lander, Wyoming. He started
teaching in Lander in 1991 and taught special education until
his retirement in 2008.
Throughout his life, Keven enjoyed his students, riding
motorcycles, spending time outdoors, scavenging, hunting,
going to garage sales, and spending time with his family.
Keven is preceded in death by his father Ivan. Keven is
survived in life by his wife Pat, children Tim and Madti,
brother Keith, mother Virginia, as well as countless friends
and family.
Memorial services and a small reception will be held at the
Best Western in Lander, WY on Saturday, October 1 beginning
at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers or food, please donate to
The Myositis Association, the Pet Connection, or to a charity
of your choice in Keven's name.
