"Richard 'Rick' Hickman, 22, of Carlinville was killed at 10:50 a.m. Friday [August 9, 1974] on I-55 near Staunton in an accident involving three tractor trailer trucks.
"He was employed by the Hudson Trucking Co. of Carlinville.
"Surviving is his widow, Lynn, whom he married in 1972; one son, Jeremy Paul, at home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hickman of Carlinville; one brother, Russell of Carlinville; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shore of Hoopston, Ill.
"Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Heinz Funeral Home in Carlinville where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert Humrickhouse officiating.
"Burial in Prairie Lawn Cemetery near Carlinville."
