Her last residence was not listed. However, there is a reference made to her living in Godfrey, Madison County, Il. No obituary notice could be located in The Telegraph. According to an article in The Telegraph, funeral services were to be conducted for M. Diane & Clara M. (Diane's mother) Grounds on Sunday April 23, 1978. In the classified section of The Telegraph edition dated May 6, 1978 was a thank-you from the family of Diane & Clara Grounds.

Diane's first name was Margaret. She was special friend to me in our first year at the high school. She wrote a note in my 1968 yearbook. Here is an excerpt from the note:

Dear Dave, "I hope you won't forget me next year or even this summer."

By posting this "IN MEMORY" information on her death, she has not been forgotten. I feel that her request of so many years ago has been fulfilled. I was very honored and happy to input information about a great friend. May she never fade from the memories of those who knew her.

The preceding information came from the SSDI. Additional information was obtained by researching The Telegraph by Ruth Mitchell Bell.
