"Born in Alton, he was the son of John and Mary (George) Ammons of Alton.
"Surviving are his parents; two sisters, Burnette Ammons of Lexington, Miss., and Venessa Ammons of Alton; two brothers, John L. and Gary A. Ammons, both of Alton; his grandparents, Elbert George of St. Louis and Jarrett Ammons of Lexington; and his step-grandmother, Ruth Ammons of Lexington.
"A brother, Luther Kimborough, preceded him in death.
"Visitation is from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at 10 a.m. at Williams Mortuary in Alton. The Rev. Eddie Howard will officiate.
